International Connections
You Don't need to clear Customs or Immigration at London Gatwick if you come from overseas and are connecting to another flight overseas.

International to Domestic Connections
You must clear Immigration and Customs at London Gatwick if you are transferring to another flight destined for a UK airport.

Domestic to International Connections
If your baggage is through-checked, you can avoid Baggage Reclaim and use the special immigration check points.

Connecting to other airports
If you are connecting via one of the London airports, you must follow signs to "Baggage Reclaim" and collect your baggage, if necessary. Gatwick airport has excellent Transport links and you can take a bus or airport shuttle to the other Airport.

Inter-terminal connections
If you need to change terminal for your flight, follow "Arrivals", collect baggage if necessary, and take the Inter Terminal Transit which operates between North and South Terminals every 3 minutes. There is a free inter-terminal bus, for passengers connecting between international flights, which operates from below the flight connections areas.

Baggage
If your baggage is through-checked to your final destination, you do not need to collect it at London Gatwick, it will continue to your final destination for Customs clearance. If it is not through-checked, you must collect your baggage. Follow signs to "Baggage Reclaim" which will lead first to the immigration hall. After collecting your baggage, proceed to the appropriate check-in desk.
